  4.  Introduction
  5.  This INSTALL program lets you read: all about what this package contains
  6.  (This Disk Contains), how to install these fonts in Windows (Installing 
  7.  TrueType Fonts), and license and warranty information (License, Limited 
  8.  Warranty).
  9.  
  10.  If you need help browsing through this document, just press F1. If you want
  11.  to print a copy of this text, press Alt-P. If you want to make a disk file
  12.  of this text, press Alt-W.

  14.                              This Disk Contains
  15.  This disk contains 125 scalable TrueType fonts for Windows 3.1. The fonts 
  16.  will work on *any* printer and can be scaled to any size. The package also 
  17.  includes a tutorial on TrueType fonts as well. In the following font names
  18.  Bd = Bold, It = Italic, Bd-It = Bold-Italic, Cd = Condensed, and Hv = Heavy.

  54.  INSTALL.COM  - How to install these TrueType fonts in Windows and use
  55.                 this package

  57.  Installing TrueType Fonts
  58.  To install these fonts into Windows 3.1, first start Windows and then 
  59.  insert this font disk into a floppy disk drive on your computer. Make sure
  60.  you are at the Main program window, and:
  61.  
  62.    1) Double click on Control Panel
  63.    2) Double click on Fonts, (not Printers)
  64.    3) Click on the Add button
  65.    4) Click on the Drives arrow,
  66.         Move to the drive you inserted the font disk in (A: or B:).
  67.         The five TrueType fonts will appear here after a few seconds.
  68.    5) Click on the Select All button, (or select only those individual
  69.       fonts that you want)
  70.    6) Click on the OK button
  71.    7) Finally, click on the Close button

  73.  That's all there is to installing TrueType fonts in Windows 3.1. The fonts
  74.  you just installed will now appear in all font menus. You can select any one 
  75.  of these fonts just as you normally select any other font under Windows. 
  76.  Note these TrueType fonts will work on *any* type of printer.

  78.  License
  79.  This is a legal agreement between you, the end user and Elfring Soft Fonts, 
  80.  governed by the laws of the state of Illinois. By opening the sealed disk
  81.  package you agree to be bound by the terms of this License Agreement. Do not
  82.  open this package if you do not agree to these terms. You may return the 
  83.  unopened package for a full refund.
  84.  
  85.  Grant of License. Elfring Soft Fonts grants you the right to use one
  86.  copy of these fonts and programs on a single computer and on a single 
  87.  printer. You may not network the fonts or utilities, or use them on more 
  88.  than one system at one time.
  89.  
  90.  Site License. Elfring Soft Fonts offers site licenses which let you use 
  91.  these fonts on more than one computer or printer, without having to 
  92.  purchase new copies of this Package for each machine. To obtain a site
  93.  license, fill out the enclosed Site License Form and return it to Elfring
  94.  Soft Fonts along with your payment.
  95.  
  96.  Copyright. This software is owned by Elfring Soft Fonts. This font comp-
  97.  ilation, all programs, and documentation are protected by United States 
  98.  copyright law and international treaty provisions. You must treat these 
  99.  materials as you would any other copyrighted software. You may make backup 
  100.  copies or duplicates of this software provided only a single copy of the 
  101.  software is in use at any one time.
  102.  
  103.  Other Restrictions. You may not copy or distribute these fonts, except for
  104.  a single standard backup. You may not duplicate, copy, distribute, rent, or 
  105.  lease the fonts, utilities, or printer drivers. Fonts are licensed for use 
  106.  on a single laser printer. You may modify the printer drivers, but may not 
  107.  alter the fonts or utility programs in any way. You may transfer the owner-
  108.  ship of this material on a permanent basis to another person if that person 
  109.  agrees to all the terms of this Agreement.

  112.  Limited Warranty and Liability
  113.  Elfring Soft Fonts warrants that all soft fonts and utility programs will
  114.  perform substantially as specified in the written documentation accompany-
  115.  ing the product, for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt. We 
  116.  reserve the right to make changes to the specifications of the program and
  117.  the contents of the documentation without obligation to notify any person 
  118.  or organization of such changes. Any implied warranties are limited to 30 
  119.  days. Some states do not allow limitations on duration of an implied 
  120.  warranty, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

  122.  Elfring Soft Fonts' entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be, at
  123.  Elfring Soft Fonts' option, either the return of the price paid or the
  124.  replacement of the software that does not meet Elfring Soft Fonts' Limited 
  125.  Warranty and which is returned to Elfring Soft Fonts with a copy of your 
  126.  receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the software is due to 
  127.  accident, abuse, misapplication, or complications arising from your choice 
  128.  of hardware or auxiliary software.

  130.  EXCEPT AS SPECIFIED ABOVE, ELFRING SOFT FONTS DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRAN-
  131.  TIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIES
  132.  WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH
  133.  RESPECT TO THE SOFT FONT DISKS, UTILITIES, AND DOCUMENTATION. THIS WARRANTY 
  134.  GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. You may have other, which vary from state 
  135.  to state.

  137.  IN NO EVENT SHALL ELFRING SOFT FONTS OR ANY OF ITS EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR
  138.  ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF 
  139.  BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, AND 
  140.  THE LIKE, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS ELFRING SOFT 
  141.  FONT PRODUCT, EVEN IF ELFRING SOFT FONTS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY
  142.  OF DAMAGES. Since some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of 
  143.  liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may
  144.  not apply to you.

  146.  This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Illinois.
